Terms And conditions

  1. Please read all Terms & Conditions carefully before making your deposit, as deposit is non-refundable. By proceeding with the deposit, you acknowledge and agree to all the terms and conditions stated below.
  2. If deposit is not made within 24 hours from enquiry, slot will be open to others for booking. No soft booking.
  3. Balance 50% payment to be made in full at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.
  4. If client fails to make the final payment within the specified timeframe, I reserve the right to cancel the appointment without further notice and deposit shall be forfeited.
  5. If the client reduces the number of services after the booking has been confirmed with the deposit, the deposit for those particular services shall be forfeited. No swapping of services.
  6. For last-minute cancellations/reschedules (<24 hours from appointment time), client shall pay the full balance amount regardless.
  7. For any change in time after booking has been made, there is no guarantee that I will be able to accommodate, as I may have clients before and after you. In that case, services may have to be reduced, and deposit forfeited.
  8. Please note that I do not carry my makeup luggage up or down staircases. Kindly ensure that makeup location is at lift-accessible level. If stairs are involved, please arrange for someone to assist with carrying my luggage up & down.
  9. The client is required to provide a clean and adequate workspace for makeup and hair services. As artists, we come with an extensive professional kit, hence a minimum space equivalent to one dining table or half of one queen-size bed is required. No coffee table/sofa. If you are unable to provide a conducive environment, not only affects service quality, but also impacts the artist’s physical health (e.g. back strain). If adequate space is not available upon arrival, I reserve the right to decline to proceed without refund.
  10. I do not provide makeover services for children under the age of 13.
  11. Makeover of bride for any wedding/pre-wedding events no matter how simple the requested look, will fall under one of my bridal packages, not under personal makeover packages.
    In the event that a personal makeover booking is made for a wedding/pre-wedding event for a bride and this information is communicated late without prior notice, I reserve the right to cease my services with immediate effect and the payment made shall be forfeited.
  12. In the case of postponement/cancellation of event due to a medical emergency, client is allowed to reschedule makeover to another date subject to my availability. If client chooses to cancel the booking instead, deposit shall be forfeited.
  13. Inspiration pictures: Submissions require 48 hours ahead of event at least. 1 month before the event date, this allows me to review your requested looks and discuss alternatives if your chosen style may not suit your features or required additional enhancements (e.g. hair extensions, accessories, etc).
  14. Sarees to be pre-pleated shall be sent to me personally by the client (for measurement taking) at least 7 business days before the event. Additional charges will apply for last-minute drop-offs. Client shall arrange for self-pick up from my house after sarees have been pre-pleated.
  15. Bridal jewellery/hair accessories rented from me should be returned to me within 3 days after the bridal event. Late charges of $30 per day will apply after the 3rd day.
  16. No one, other than the clients engaging my services, is allowed in the room. Please ensure all items needed by family members are kept in another room. Want to provide our best for you and also finish by the timing given to us, so kindly avoid any such disruption. For safety reasons, please ensure that children and pets are kept away from the makeup area, as we will be working with hot hair tools. This also helps maintain the hygiene and sanitation of my kit.
  17. For bridal outfit changes, only one companion will be allowed into the room (bridesmaid, ponnu thozhi, etc.) with you. Strictly no one else is allowed and the door will be locked till the bride is ready to leave the changing room. Kindly requesting the bride not to unlock the door for anyone. Please ensure items needed by family members are kept in another room.
  18. Prep instructions will be sent closer to the event date. Please be fully prepared for me as per the instructions provided. Kindly ensure that we are on schedule.
    MAKEUP ARTIST/HAIRSTYLIST SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DELAYS/RUSH DUE TO THE LACK OF READINESS OF CLIENT.
  19. I reserve the right to outsource hairstyling and saree draping to my assistants or trusted partner vendors when needed to manage time efficiently. They are fully qualified and experienced in their respective areas, and this will not affect the quality of service. Makeup will always be done personally by me, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
  20. If you’re not ready to start makeover (sleeping/just woken up/showering/going to shower/running errands) at the time of my arrival and I need to wait for you for more than 15 mins, waiting charges of $50 will apply.
  21. If waiting time exceeds 30 mins and I have other appointments after you, I reserve the right to cease my services with immediate effect and proceed to my next appointment. Balance payment will still be required in full as I’ve made my way over to your place already.
  22. Photographs and videos taken of the makeover shall be used for the purposes of social media content, branding, and portfolio development of Beauty by Vin and accompanying assistants/hairstylists.
